Pad not spinning.

October 5 2004 at 8:27 PM

Cary Cassidy

I recently tried to encap for the first time. I have 175rpm 17" autoscrubber. I was able to get a fiberplus pad from a friend to try. I had trouble with the pad staying on the drive block. The drive brush was just spinning on top of the pad. I also tried it with a regular white pad. Same thing. I ended up bonneting it.
Could it be the drive brush is to worn.
This was a nylon cut pile.

Thanks

Cary

Cary,

Looks like you need a new pad driver.

You can order an ideal driver for this from Hesco.

Order a Mighty-Lok driver and the appropriate matching Clutch Plate for your machine.

You can reach HESCO at 1-800-822-7467

also on my 20" if I don't wet the pad first, it grabs at first too. I usually just dunk it in the bucket of mix and start.
