Has anyone tried this yet? I just started using Releasit for after-spotter on some spots that did not come completely out with HWE, has worked well so far, but have not tried it on pet spots yet...Thanks for the replies!

We have just started using the Encap-spot for odors (pet odors and other odors) and like it alot. Releasit works OK for that but the Encap-Spot has more Tea Tree Oil and seems to knock the odors out faster. So far in the last two weeks we have used the Encap-spot on milk, bar-b-que sauce in a wool rug, pet odors, and beans spilt in carpet. In all these scenarios Encap-spot work great on getting rid of the residual odor after we had done either a HWE or used the Cimex.

Encap-Spot works well as a spotter on a wide variety of spots. It doesn't require rinsing since it's an encap product. And it also has some very good mal-odor treatment properties. Check out my thread about removing cat diarrhea with Encap-Spot. It took care of it completely without leaving a hint of a stain or odor... http://www.network54.com/Forum/message?forumid=228309&messageid=1090692933

Good question.
But remember where there might be a pet odor, there may be a problem under neath it all that needs addressed, other than the surface spot.
I say this because I am a true encap believer, and in all of Ricks products. I just dont want someone to try to make it an 'end all of other cleaning chems or methods'' and when it isnt, then bad mouth the encap process as a whole. I am not saying that will happen with anyone, just a possibility.
With urine in a pad, we are talking specialty problems"
That is where a water Claw, 20-30 minute dwell times with specialized products like OSR or Pee B Gone come into play and a thorough flushing.
I just dont want you to not be happy with what encap is designed for. I would think that with a true urine problem, esp in the pad, that encap wouldnt be a wise choice.

With all my respect. No knock on encapsulation as a methodology, Ricks product or anyones' integrity or way of doing things.

Good luck.

Good post Steve. I agree with you on treating the pad. I wasn't even thinking about the pad when I mentioned Encap-Spot (as you know my, experience in the industry is primarily related to commercial cleaning where there isn't a pad). However bio-contaminants should be taken seriously. In fact a couple of days ago when there was a question posted about vomit, I commented on the need to go further than a simple encap cleaning. Thanks for the good suggestion about the water-claw.

Thanks everyone for your insight. I have a waterclaw and use OSR. I was just curious on the pet stain issue because sometimes I run into pet spots from a cat where they just "sprinkle" here and there. The customer usually wants to just remove the spots topically instead of doing it right and waterclawing them for the extra charge. thanks again and have a great week!

I know what you mean there buddy.
I use Bac Out by Bi O Kleen. See Gary heacock.
works good on urine spots, and it can be treated quickly.. and not cost much. maybe a buck or two for a smaller spot. you can surely bury that in there.
That helps your cleaning appearance and them if it is real minor. Serious stuff needs to be treated sub surface. I understand you point.
esp if it is a little urine 'leakage' and not really effecting the pad, yet leaving a little stain.
maybe some Bac Out or spray a little stain magic on it, possible cover it up to keep it moist, maybe not. Up to you. One of those two scenarios should take care of the minor stuff.
Demo a gallon of the stuff from Heacock. Good stuff to have on the van. Smells great too. and all natural' (as far as chems go)
It will take care of the problem and let the customers off for a very minimal, if any, cost. Just figure a couple of dollars or so in on the cleaning cost. I usually add 5.00 or so and let it do the work while I am cleaning another room and thus dont have to charge much at all as I am not really dedication clock time'for urine treatment only. It is working as I am in another room. just a thought.
