Carpet wear

While my kid and I were doing some carpet last night, he asked somthin I never really thought about. He suggested that running my buffer over carpet looked to him like 500 people walking over the carpet dragging their feet. Told him I figured with the foam on top to lubricate the pad, that it shouldn't wear carpet any. Whats the opinion on that?

You told your son right Brian. ... As long as that wasn't your propane buffer that you were running.

ok, I have thought about using the propane stripping machine on big commercial work, lol.

I thought I saw somewhere that there was a test on Cimex pads and carpet wear.
