Questions

#1-I know Rick covered this somewhat at Connections East, but I was wondering. Any bad reports on encapsulating daycares and such where kids will be crawling around on the floor before it is post clean vacuumed?
#2-When I did my first encap job, left some swirly marks. Is that normal or did I put down too much detergent?
Thanks.

Rake the swirly marks out while the carpet is wet.

to my knowledge noone has ever posted a bad report about using Encap in Daycares. it is basically up to you how you feel about it. i dont see how it would be any different than putting down a protectant after cleaning...things migrate onto clothing / hands when touched, as does the dirt / dust / debris thats already in an uncleaned carpet.

i feel if ppl were to be using an Encap rinse in their HWE machine, this would not be questioned, but since it is a "new" (in some ppl's mind anyways) cleaning method, then it has to be questioned.

In my mind I would feel better using a truckmount in this situation, unless it was on a maintenance program than I would have a cleaning cycle of a few encap cleanings and than do a extraction cleaning, and start the cycle over.
I think any place that has a possible health issue should include extraction cleaning in the cleaning mix.

some ppl use Encap IN there HWE process... so are you saying Encap shouldnt be used for that either? cause you will be leaving the crystallizing polymer in the carpet with this method whether you HWE it or Cimex it...the Encap is still left there as it is supposed to be.

just wondering how ppl's brain process works for this cause i dont really understand the difference. seems ppl are hung up if it isn't "HWE"'ed. if you're Encap'ing, then your Encap'ing - please explain the diff.

thanx --- Derek.

If it bothers you that much you might wanna post bonnet. What would make encap any more harmful than a hwe prespray. I would think encap products would be better since the residue will vacuum out, in which alot of hwe presprays will stay in carpet especially if done wrong.

Go back and rinse with your portable. You will see the difference yourself. I would think that a Daycare would need to be rinsed and encap with a maintenance program. There is a whole other topic to discuss when doing daycares. I personally wouldn't do a daycare without hwe.
