How many times?

Any idea on how many times a very short pile plush can be encapped before it starts to fall apart?. I have a bar/club that I do monthly. Done it 11 times now, only place it looks worn is a couple of seams starting to unravel. I'm using a white burnisher pad and a 300rpm rotory.

Also do you feel it would be benificial to HWE it once a year or so?. I'd have to hire that done.

Confused by the question.

Brian - Encap does not make carpet fall apart. So, the answer is 'an infinite number of times'. Kinda like asking how many health someone can take before it kills him.

In reality, any agitation hurts individual fibers, but foot traffic is worse by far than any cleaning attempts.

If you use a normal vacuum, mats to reduce foot traffic, encap to do traffic areas and periodic wall to wall cleaning, you're EXTENDING the life of the carpet, not killing it...no?

i agree, most places where i see seams loose is because of poor installation and poor / no maintenance...probably 99% of the time. cleaning the carpet properly only helps.

thanx --- Derek.
