| Been talking to a couple of Aussies that want to know your opinions of using a 15" Cimex in residentials, as opposed to the normal 19" Cimex.
As a rule, these residentials are empty of all furniture.
The smallest room would probably be 10'00" x 9'00", roughly.
We do realise that it would be just as easy, if not easier to manouvere, than the big bloke, and lighter, although production would not be as quick, but that is not a concern.
Looking forward to your replies.
Cheers,
Shorty. |

Hey Shorty,
Good to see ya bloke!
For empties, definitely go with the 19".

P.S. How long did it take for you to convert those measurements from metric into square feet for us dumb Americans?

Hey Rick & Shorty,
Rick, the reason I was leaning towards the 15" machine is because I have no big commercial customers to speak of (small town), the weight factor, I see the smaller machine is 11kg lighter + because of the size I figured it would be more manoeuverable in an occupied domestic setting, we have a lot of small 3 bed identical company houses in town.
Cheers

are these ALL empty? if so and only one floor, then definitely the 19".
if there is 2 floors, then i'd go with the 15"....unless i had a helper that could help me carry the 19" up a flight of steps, then, again i'd go with the 19".
thanx --- Derek. |

Hey Rick, no problem at all for me.
Feet and inches are second nature, we've only had this dam* metric thing for about forty years, and I still hate it.
What is confusing is when I go to a country that has Imperial speed limits, distances, weights and measures, but rely on Dollars & 00 sense, sorry, cents, instead of pounds, shillings and pence. LOL.
When I think of square metres, I think ok, that's about 39" x about 39" and every four metres add another foot......aaarrghhhhhhh.
Love these little calculators. LOL.
Never needed them forty years ago, the brain used to work okay then.
I guess with the 19" 'Mex;, it's just going to be a matter of getting used to it, just like everything else.
Cheers,
Shorty. |
