Putting and taking off big wheels

Joe N. asked me what's the best position in which to put the Cimex to take off and put on the bigger wheels.
Just in case this is not obvious to everyone, the best postion is what could be called the "prayer position". Start with an empty tank,(unless you want to dump a lot of solution on a spot), put the Cimex flat on it pads (pads flat on the floor)and lift the handle up and over so the handle is forward in the "Muslim prayer position").
The Cimex will stay in that position with the wheels up in the air where you can get to them easily.
Also, when you buy your tires, try to get the "center hub" type with the hubs sticking out the width of the tire. This creates space between your "old tires" and the new tires, and makes it easy to put your nuts on.

Slight changes made

January 17 2005, 11:32 PM

I took the wheelbarrow tires back to Home Depot and switched them for the shorter axle berring surface ones. Now the axle shaft area extends only to the edge of the tire. (or slightly less) That allowed me to shorten the axle about six inches but I had to cut some pvc plastic spacers to keep the new tires from rubbing the old. Looks a lot better now and not quite so wide of stance. Unfortunatly I sent a picture to Rick G. of the first setup so will have to take another and send it along too.

i haven't found it difficult to put the tires on at all. with the tank empty, you can lift the handle and tires off the floor easily with one hand, slide the axle thru your holes then pop the bigger tires on.

i guess i will need that extra set of nuts.

thanx --- Derek.
