problem carpet

Low pile nylon carpet cleaned every month with a combination of hwe, cylindrical brush and cimex. Never any problems. Last night it was done again and on the newer blue colored carpet it appears today as if it was still wet. When you look at it is a lot darker than the part of the carpet that was not done. Just imagine what a dark color carpet looks like when you extract it, how it gets darker as you wet it and as it dries it lightens up again. The other color of carpet is a two tone brown but this did not happen to it. The exact same process done on each, last night only the cimex.
Any ideas as to what caused this or what to do to fix it?

I do one with multiple colors in it every month, the dark blue always changes color more than the other colors.

We have been doing this account for over a year now and this is the first time this has happened. It has been days now and it still remains quite dark compared to the rest of the carpet that was not touched.

Correct. We used a dual counter rotating brush machine 2 days later to see if we could correct the problem. A slight improvment but still very noticable. Tonight we will extract the area and see what happens.
