Encap clean vs encap punch

Received my rotary shampooer today. Set her up add some encap clean and touched her off. Just about threw me through the fireplace and wall. I guess there will be some learning curve to this machine. Back to dragging hoses once again until I can somewhat control this beast of a machine. Question can you use Encap clean as a prespray and rinse through a truckmount, or does it have to be encap punch. I would like to hear about any results with either of these products being used as a prespray and rinse via truckmount system. Thanks Jay

You will get the hang of the rotary, it's a ballance thing. Lift handle up slightly and the machine goes to the right, push down and it goes left. You don't want to use Encap-Clean with HWE, you will have lot's of foam in the hoses and waste tank. Encap-Punch however works great both as a pre-spray and a "rinse" with HWE. Save your Encap-Clean for your rotary.

Enjoy the rotary.

Encap clean vs encap punch

In regards to starting your rotary: until you get used to it, start it in the middle of the room. Also, it helps to get the pads, brushes or bonnett damp prior to starting your machine. Just dip the pads in your solution tank and wring them out before mounting them on your drive block. Or dip your hand in the solution and rub it on the pads or brushes. Moisture helps reduce the friction and makes starting your machine easier.

Jay,
In addition to the other two suggestions I would also recommend trying your rotary out on some VCT first until get the hang of it. (Also make sure you keep your cord a safe distance from the machine while it's running. You'll be surprised how easy it is to wrap it around the buffer.)There is much more friction created trying to handle a buffer on carpet than VCT.
It's just like learning to ride a bike. Once you learn it's very easy.

Yep, get the pads wet first, much easier and won't trip breakers when starting. Also set your handle as low as you can reach w/o bending over, than you can brace it against your leg.

Thanks guys for all the responses and info. I had FP pads under it and they were wet. Must be me(newbie operator). I guess I will be slinging the wand a little longer until I master this beast. Bringing this machine into someones house, would be like bringing a bull into a china store. Thanks again Jay

Jay,

I guess your actual question got overlooked with that 3 Stooges image that you painted for us with the rotary machine.

Now your question was...
"Question can you use Encap clean as a pre-spray and rinse through a truck-mount, or does it have to be encap punch."

You can use either product. There are a number of folks who are pre-scrubbing with Encap-Clean and then doing a light rinse with their HWE equipment. Just be careful to avoid getting a foam build-up. You may need to use some defoamer. However, Encap-Punch was formulated to work in a HWE setting. So that would really be the product to go with.

Now go get some practice with that rotary machine and it will become second nature to you (not as good as a Cimex of course, but it will work for you). I have a picture from one of the mini-fests of my 100 pound wife running a rotary machine behind her back. And if she can do it, so can you. Hang in there bud.

You may feel a little skeptical, but these guys are absolutely right; running your machine will be second nature to you. I just got a cimex and will have to see how it moves, but after using a standard 175rpm buffer on carpet I got to where I can move furniture around with it (like office chairs, small tables.) You'll get to where you just walk up to it and start cleaning without even thinking about it. Don't let it intimidate you. Start using it because there will many many situations where it will save you time and even get better results than your wand.

lol, got me thinking back about sanding gym floors, I'd rubber band the switch down so ya could just use a couple fingers to run them, then i could drink my pop while it was just running againt my leg.

OSHA woulda loved me, lol.
