I think Releasit may replace a few more chems!February 4 2005 at 10:02 PM |

Today I tried something new and was very impressed with the outcome. While on a carpet job I always bring in a spray bottle of releasit mixed strong and a horse hair brush to attack any stubburn spots. Well today the client last minute added a recliner that had major soiling from a dog laying in it. Instead of going to the van and mixing up my prochem upholstry prespray I just lightly misted it with the srong releasit and brushed it in. I finished the carpet and decided to extract it with my drimaster up tool. I was shocked at how much soil it pulled out. I swear that it came alot cleaner than my normal prespray does and I did the whole recliner in like 10 mins and it was DRY to the touch. The client was so impressed he had me do a mattress that the dog had also been on. I misted it the same way and scrubbed it in with a pad on my little oreck then quickly extracted. The mattress looked brand new. Took like 5 mins total. The best part is I only used about half of the full trigger sprayer on both! I think the strong mixture allowed me to use such a small quantity. Anyone want to buy my left over stock of Up Prespray? I wonder if prespraying carpet then extracting would have the same effect? May be I need to try Punch for that?

Punch works great! the 1st all in one HWE, Encap, Bonnet cleaner on the market.
has a slightly higher pH which helps tackle the dirt a little better.
thanx --- Derek. |

I could see the foam being a problem, but using such a small concentrated amount I was ok yesterday. I think Punch would be better for larger areas like wall to wall carpet for this reason. I was just amazed at how well the recliner cleaned up with just a misting. |

Thanks for the feedback Tracy! It's good to hear you stretching the envelope a little there. Releasit will effectively tackle a WIDE array of soil conditions, so go for it. Keep up the good work!
