Starting from scratch

If you were to completely start from scratch, using only VLM equipment for carpet and upholstery, what would be your choice of such equipment, for both commercial and residential, and why??

Cheers,

Shorty.

Suggestions for VLM ONLY set up for commercial and residential:

19" Cimex for commercial.
(Because it's an encap scrubbing monster)

Sprint for smaller jobs, including residential.
(Because it scrubs like crazy, yet it isn't a monster)

An Oreck orbiter for stairs and occasional bonneting.
(Because it's small enough for stairs and it's overall very handy)

Cimex with 2 bonnets and soft brush for residential.
(This bonnet/scrub method is extremely popular in Japan and Europe)

Challenger OP or a good rotary machine with bonnets.
(If you're doing residential, this would be my choice for "VLM" cleaning)

These are my thoughts on a VLM only set up.

I use a Rotary with brushes, pads, cotton pads or bonnets. Mist and Brush (dule cylindrical brushs) for carpeting.
UPH horse hair Brush and a good foam cleaner and towels to wipe down.
Orbital car polisher for UPH and stairs.

If I had to only VLM but glad we use several methods

OP, Cimex and a dual speed rotary for flooring.. all types and care.

As for upholstery, I am not for sure. I dont VLM much upholstery. Maybe a nice hand held oscillating unit, one capable of holding a cotton pad.
Maybe one like Gary H. has,, a higher speed buffer.

I love the HWE option, so I am glad this isnt my scenario.
But I have the above machines to compliment my Butler TM>
I am a lucky fella.
