Cimex and Citrus-Solv. question...

April 17 2005 at 10:03 AM
Rob

Over the weekend we Cimex'd a commercial building (about 12k s/ft) and in one area (1k s/ft) we HWE with the TM and used Ultrapac combined with Citrus-solve. However I did a trial spot in the bad area a few weeks back with the Cimex only. So after we finished the job we noticed the trial spot was still VERY noticable.

So my question is, did the citrus break down the Releasit and prevent it from working or should I have only Cimexed it???

Thanks in advance, Rob Allen.

Citrus Solvent, UltraPac, as well any other foreign chemical, will almost certainly blow out the crystallization. If you're hoping to achieve encapsulation it's generally best not to cross chemicals.

How can you fix it?

You can probably just go ahead and re-clean the carpet with Releasit. Releasit does a good job of encapsulating chemical residues. Give it a slow scrub with Releasit and it should take care of it for you.

Let me know how you make out.
