Encapping Residential

I was wondering if you can encap all residential carpet with the cimex? If you can do you use the fiber plus pads or brushes? Sometimes we get high rise jobs we can't do with the truckmount and I just don't like using a portable and turn those jobs down now.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave -

You can do residential accounts just fine. Most of us use the pads, although you can use the brushes. Buy emm both and use them side by side and you'll see the pads work better.

Risk - you may want to sell your Vortex after a while.....

Clay,

Good one, I won't be getting rid of the Vortex but this encap thing may be nice for those high rise jobs.

Can you use a Cimex for residential???

You betcha.

I was very sceptical about even using a Cimex, until I used it.

Most jobs, I look at now, I think to myself, I can use 'Big Yella' on this.

I have not put gas in my van for nearly a week now, it only holds 45 litres, about 13 gallons I think.

If the residential is empty, it's a breeze.

Las week, I did a 3 bedroom unit, I think you call them condoms, there were two beds in there.

I just did one side of the room, moved the bed and did the other side.

Piece of cake mate.

If I think I can do it with the Mex; I can.

If not, then I gotta drag the solution hose in, hook up the water, put corner guards around, make sure it's not too early, or too late, to be using my truck mount, start it up.

Then I do a pre-spray, dis-connect, bring the vac; hose in, up the revs; hook up the vac; hose to the wand, start scrubbing.

In between strokes, wipe the sweat from my brow.

When I'm finished, put all the gear away again, change shirts, grab a rag to put under my invoice book, or now, over my laptop, to try and stop the sweat.

Working with a Mex; does have it's drawbacks, I'm starting to put on weight again.

Cheers,

Shorty.
