Portable Extractor

Hey, guys. I started my biz doing brush/bonnet cleaning exclusively and love my Cimex. However, I do want to add extraction. My problem is that I ran a truckmount for many years working for another company and after using a TM, I feel kinda sick when I think of using a portable. About like using an electric toothbrush after having had a Cimex. But I can't even begin to afford a TM. So, does anyone know of a TRULY GOOD portable? I'd appreciate any comments you'd pass on as to which ones to avoid or which are true performers. Thanks.

I highly recommend the Eclipse from CleanCraft. It has many options to be equipped the way you want. Mine is equipped with 3-2 stage vac motors and a 250 p.s.i. pump with heat. It also has the option of auto pump out and fill. Mine is over 3 years old, used hard and still in service. Call Bill at CleanCraft. He will be quite helpful.

Look right here on Rick's site. He has the Steamin' Deamon. I know Rick can tell you all about it. It is a good unit.

As Kevin mentioned. The Steamin Demon might be worth considering.

HERE'S THE LINK:

Any portable extractor, regardless of the brand, produce water in the range from under 1/2 gallon of water per minute to slightly over a 1/2 gallon of water per minute. That's the nature of the beast.

The largest fire breathing truckmounts can manage to put out water in the range of up to 1.5 gallons of water per minute, and on occasion sligtly higher.

Whereas the Steamin Demon generates 3-4 gallons of water per minute. The Steamin Demon is unique in this respect. They even have a patent on their "high flow" design.

My feeling is that the SD stands alone in performance for a "portable extractor".

In addition to high flow, the Steamin Demon doesn't require a bucket brigade. It auto-fills and auto-dumps. The handle is reversible, so you can push the machine as well as pull it. And it's all aluminum construction weighs less than 40 pounds.

The new 20" model is my personal favorite. They also have a 15" model too.

So if you're thinking portable - I think the SD might seriously impress you. I can offer you a 10 day trial... buy it, try it, if you don't love it - send it back. I think it may just fit the bill for you

I have or have had about every type portable carpet machine known. This is not bragging it's sad considering the amount of unneccessary money i spent looking for that magic bullet. I have a large truckmount and all that stuff too.My point is, that i also own the classic steamin demon and it rocks. It will do upholstery, minor flood damage and makes apartments or high rises much easier. The new on looks even better so you could attach a wand for stairs, closets or crowded bedrooms. If it's comercial along with your cimex theres really no question (imo).Once you learn and implement a system you would be very happy.Take rick up on his offer or if you live in fla on E coast maybe i could demo mine for you.If you need to rinse behind hard surface cleaning , now this would not be your best machine.

Do the demo

From the experiance of cleaning with and having sold Demons for about 7 years now.

The Steamin Demon is the only portable I use in most situations,
with the cimex, brush machine or rotary there is nothing it will not clean.
We have cleaned or sold to nursing homes, resturants, daycares, retail, time share condos collages univerities, residential homes the list goes on.
I like the classic for smaller doing Demos and Res work and the 20 for larger commercial work.

Rick how do I post pics on here? I would love to show what the Demon can do on a nasty resturant.

on the rare situation I cannot use the Demon I use a Cross American Recoil HP3
I have also run TM (Butler) it sits in my yard no need for it any more.

The Demon

May 8 2005, 4:19 PM

I have been interested in 'The Demon' for some time.

After reading the previous posts, I logged onto the Demon's site.

Their is mention of attachments for cleaning stairs and upholstery.

For some reason, I was unable to download any pics from the Demons' site.

Would it be possible for someone to post these pics on here, so that all may see??

On the surface, it look's like a relatively easy way to corner not only the floor market, but now, also the furniture part as well.

Kind regards,

Shorty.

PS:: I also use my Mex; on residentials, (empty), with great success.
