| I am amazed at how difficult people make things. I have been in the janitorial business for 10 years and about 4 years ago began doing my own carpet cleaning. I ran right out and bought everything my local supplier said I needed...just about 99% of it was useless...I am in no way a carpet "guru" but all I can tell ya is I have sold every piece of junk my supplier sold me and bought a Cimex, Ricks pads and Releasit,(no spotter, no punch) a 3 gallon plastic bucket, a $30.00 bucket heater, a measuring cup,a stiff brush and a Hoover Conquest (off Ebay for $80.00)...I now have all 38 of 40 of my janitorial accounts on a carpet maintenance program and they love it...no fancy crap ...just doing it like Rick say's and it works...
So thanks Rick for being "Simple"..( I mean That in a good way)

I agree wholeheartedly. The Cimex/Releasit system makes easy work of otherwise disappointing situations. I'd also like to point out that Rick has my gratitude and respect. I've had many distributors try to sell me things that both I and they knew weren't the best chemical, equipment or process for the job. There are two basic impressions I have of distributors (generally speaking.) One, they either don't really know or don't really care what the best solutions is for a contractor's problem. Their answers are usually guided by the most expensive thing they happen to have in stock. Secondly, they only care about "the little guy" if they aren't on the phone (or getting a call in the the middle of your conversation from) the "bigger guy." But my experience with Rick is that he's straight-up with people, tells you his honest opinion based on his own experience -- EVEN IF IT SAVES ME MONEY!! Rick probably has no idea how much that really means after all the frustration with others. And for that he will always have my gratitude, respect, business and referrals. |

Rick is quite different than most Distributors in that he is a working example in runing his own business. He is honest, hard working and straight foward in how he operates his business. I met him and his lovely wife Nancy at the first VLM meeting in Macon, Ga a few years back and knew instantly he was someone to know and do business with. I have never regretted my decision. He is a credit to this industry and I feel honored to call him "friend" I have been around a long time, but what I have learned from Rick about commercial cleaning has made our company many thousands of dollars.

Thank you for the kind words guys. It's a pleasure to be involved with this industry. I like talking on the phone with cleaners trying to share what little I know. And in the process I've been very fortunate to be able to make some nice friends along the way. I don't know what it is about our industry, but I feel like there's a high percentage of genuinely good folks that make up this family of carpet cleaners. My wife says it's because it takes "humble people" to clean. And I say yeah, humble people who like to make $100+ per hour
At any rate, I consider it a privilege to be associated with the development of something that's playing a part in helping people in their businesses. I've been in this industry on both sides of the fence for over 20 years. Like some of you I've been a sucker to suppliers too. In fact it was those suppliers that I kept going to, as well as the industry at large, asking for advice on how do to deal with our commercial carpet problems. I think they sold me one of everything they had in stock, but we never actually found a solution for our carpets.
Well one thing led to another and my stubborn persistence finally paid off. A fortunate set of events. What I discovered with the Cimex and encapsulation changed the scope of my cleaning business. And it makes me happy to now see the Cimex and Releasit working for many others in the industry too.
But let's not lose sight that I've also profited from this too. You all are the ones who have taken the chance and decided to try a cleaning system that likely sounded crazy to you at first. I'm sure you had to be nervous in buying another cleaning system that could have turned out to be just another disappointment. So you really are the ones to be thanked for placing your trust in me. Therefore I'd like to express my appreciation to each of you for your support. Thanks for helping to make Excellent Supply and Releasit a success. It's been fun!

I also would like to add my heartfelt gratitude to Rick & Nancy.
I have been in this game for a long time, and had very set, definate views, on the low moisture cleaning systems that were around.
I knew steam was king.
I knew it all.
Talking to Gary Bethel down under, and finally having a little play with a Mex; at Connections in Vegas, changed my mind completely.
After explaining in his own inimitable way, Rick let me loose on the Mex;, crikey!!! I could use it easier than a floor polisher. Even easier than a lawn mower. What had I been missing all these years??
My 'Big Yella', has made a definate improvement to my bottom line, and the extra time away from work is a bonus.
Thank you Nancy & Rick, and all that have helped me with 'Big Yella', along the way, even my wife, Delia, who has no problem using the 'Mex;' when I want a break.
Cheers,
Shorty.

w/ assessments above. I researched this new "system" for about a year before I bought it and I met Rick at Connections East in Clearwater in July '04. It was there I saw a demo of it. It was still Dec. 04 before I bought it. Cimex/Releasit has added something to my arsenal that nobody else in my area uses. Two of my competitors who I trade work back and forth with have seen the Cimex and asked about it. I have been honest with 'em about what it does and neither has followed up by buying. One of 'em wants me to take him out on one of my jobs with it, but I figure he can try it himself. I have cleaned commercial jobs with it where I have been told nobody can get there carpet cleaned and it still look good a couple of days later. I have become their "carpet cleaner of choice" because of Cimex/Releasit. I made my choice based on Rick's knowledge and that he was the one who tested and sought out the answer for commercial carpet maintenance. All others, in my opinion, are copy cats. I don't do the volume (yet) of some of you guys, but Rick still treats me like my business is as important to him as "the big boys". For that, he has my loyalty. I have recommended his system to both of my competitors and to a local hotel who does their own maintenance. None of them have followed up, but that is their mistake. Rick and Nancy deserve a steak dinner from me, or at least the drink of their choice at the next industry event I attend where they are present. |
