Okie Encapper Loses Marbles

Our little house is 60 years old. It is located in an area called Faculty Heights. This is an addition just East of Oklahoma University. We love it for the big beautiful trees and the fact that short of a runway, you can build whatever you want on your property.

Anyhoo..... 12 years ago I started the remodel on the kitchen. Today, at 3:00 I pronounced myself finished. But my wife had other ideas. She said to be totally finished I needed to clean the carpet. I told her that was for another day, "I'm tired, I couldn't do it justice". I could feel her eyes on the back of my head as I sat down on my throne to recline.

About an hour later I woke up and thought I heard the blender. I figured my wifey was mixing up a reward for my hard work. I went in the kitchen to find her backing out of the kitchen on her hands and knees.

She had done the carpets herself. "It makes no sense to get so close and not finish the job".

She had taken this high speed polsher/grinder I have and cut a piece of beige pad to fit it. She mixed up some encap juice, sprayed it down with a pump up sprayer in sections, and done the whole floor. I couldn't have done a better job with big boy stuff. I told her I would post this with the caption- "Okie Encapper Loses Marbles".

Great story! I enjoyed reading that one.
I do have one issue with you, though. My wife is from Midwest City, OK. I am from NC. We have been to OK a few times in our ten years of marriage. Where, may I ask, do you guys have "big" trees?? What you have, kind sir, are just very large bushes. lol

That was a cool story Davo!

She couldn't get your sorry OK self out of the chair
so she went and did it Sooner herself.

Sign her up and put her on the job. She can go out and sell the jobs with a quick sample with the high speed polisher.

I am quite serious, give her a commision based on each job she sells....

I'll vouch, Davo lives in a beautiful neighborhood. Although the trees aren't what somebody from Iowa would call huge, compared to our Cottonwoods, at least they kept that ugly red dirt from blowing around. BTW dirts sposed to be BLACK.

Congrats on the remodel, I've been workin on my house for 21 years now, startin on the kitchen the second time. I'll be sure to show this to Anita, lol.

Oh ya.....................

Oh ya. Brian has seen my house. Shucks, there goes my story on how I grew a Redwood in my backyard. But since he has seen me he can attest to me looking like George Clooney, being 7 feet tall and built like AhhNuld, a brain so big I carry it in a suitcase.

A 60 foot SweatGum is purty tall. Also have some Magnolias. Nothing like the 200 foot Pines in NC. Or the stuff you see on the Blue Ridge.

Diane could sell red clay to an Iowa farmer. If I had her out selling I might have to do some work.
