New Releasit Label DesignJune 6 2005 at 11:30 AM | Rick Gelinas |
| I've been working with an artist to redraw the graphic on the Releasit label. Here's the finished piece. I think it's a big improvement over the old design. Whaddya think?

It's Monday AM - I'm in the office wading through the weekend's correspondence. I looked through the inbox and I don't see anything. Give me a call David, operators are standing by

Rick,
Can we use this new design in our own marketing materials?

I think we may still tweak it just a bit more.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Looks good. I personally like the old one better, but I'll still use it no matter what it looks like . |

I think the fibers of the carpet look better in the old one. Looks good otherwise, to me anyway

Thanks Brian,
That was an idea that I'm working with the artist on - incorporating the fiber into the new graphic.

I like the old too the carpet fibers look better, but i can see where you going with the soil removal in the new one, can you use the old fiber in the new one?
Like Kevin i not really worried what the label looks like as long as it works the same.

HI Rick.. I am in cleaning sales now as of this month, but the past 15 years have been spent in corporate graphic design in NYC. I still design quite a bit on my own time.
My thought on the label is that its too complicated for a quick glance. The science behind the product is amazing and fascinating but I think technical diagrams should be reserved for product sheets and not packaging. Packaging should be idiot proof and simple. The shape of the carpet thread is too complex. The average person wouldnt realize what they are viewing. I would say ilustrate or photograph close up side view of carpet texture and leave that bold arrow . Even adding in the dirt particles and crystals begins to be too visually complicated.
Maybe just put in one one dust particle with a crystal share around it leaving the carpet. Simplicity is more, I think.
OR just incorporate the arrow in play with the logo and leave off the illustration.
IF anyone out there needs a good graphic designer.. glad to make myself available. |

Hi, I am looking to have a logo designed for my new company. How much do you charge for your design services? Can I see some of your previous work?
