How do you get the business?

I would like to know how do most of you get the business and cash flowing?

I don't do the yellow pages, I don't need the customers that they bring in and the people calling asking if I am hiring or do I want to buy supplies.

Do you cold call or do you mail the letter and biz card out?

Do you target your wish to have next contract?

Also, when you do get the job, do you put anything in writing for the biz owner or do you just do a hand shake?
