Tip for Cleaning out Cimex plumbing

June 13 2005 at 1:50 PM
Derek

just wanted to reiterate that someone posted the idea of using an air compressor to flush out the plumbing. might be good to first use the coat hanger like Rick mentions, or what i use is a turkey baster brush (narrow soft-metal brush that cleans out the inside of a turkey baster...picked it up at Bed Bath and Beyond). then use the air followed by water/ garden hose.

thanx --- Derek.

BTW Rick, can we order more of those caps?

My tips

I have not had any flow problems with my Cimex (knock on wood). What we do is empty it out and put 1 gal of hot water and pull open the trigger with the head down and no pads. We then proceed to clean every thing else up while its draining. If we have the TM running we use a whip to suck out the remaing encap and all the suds. 20 months and no problems yet.

That is a good idea Chris and I can see why you would not have any problems.
