Soileze pricing?

Just a quick one here. I was wondering what some of you are charging to apply the Soileze carpet protector - at residential rates. I have mostly been doing commercial work, without a real demand for the protector product, but am venturing into a residential job tomorrow where the customer is interested. Thanks

Hi Steve,

I haven't applied a whole lot of protector on commercial jobs, yet I don't think I've ever charged less than .10 per sq ft for protector application on a commercial account. One technique that has helped me to sell protector at higher rates per sq ft is to encourage the customer to have it applied only to the most prominent higher traffic areas. In this way they're getting useful protection where they're most likely to benefit from it.

for resi protectant i used to charge like Rick, no less than 10 cents and as much as 20 cents depending on the circustance. i used to charge very high back then cause i didn't want the work. now that i'll be getting back into resi, i plan on charging a little lower than i used to but still will charge between 10 & 15 cents per sq.ft. for protectant.

for more of a feeling on what ppl are charging, i recommend you do a search on ICS for protectant pricing.

thanx --- Derek.

stain guard pricing

I have a great system for stian guard I charge .29 per sqft. and offer a 1 year no spot program if the custy cant remove a stain I come for no charge and remove it for them. I love this program because as you know keeping a client is what it is all about if that client see's my face a couple of time a year for 10 min I build a repore with them and create customer loyalty.

those programs seem like a great idea Michael.

that's 29 cents per sq.ft. just for the protectant, not the entire cleaning, correct?

Thanks to all for the feedback. I ended up selling the protector at .12 per sf ( found out to be average for the Seattle area), but great idea/program with charging more and including the free spot removal servicing for one year. I'll incorporate into the next job- maybe giving them a choice between two pricing/servicing levels.
