Tile & Grout

Will Rick or anyone else tell e how well the Cimex does on cleaning tile & grout without any additional weights added? Just got the firm brushes but haven't tried them out yet. Also, on the weights & brackets that can be purchased and mounted on the Cimex -- the posts on the brackets look as though they were designed to hold two weights rather than one. If doing marble, terrazzo, etc., is one 20 lb weight on either side sufficient or should we get two extra weights and place two 20 lb weights on each bracket? (Or would that kill my Cimex (and maybe me!)?) Thanks for any insight.

The 40 pound weight set (2 20 Lb weights) is as much as you'd want to put onto the 1-1/2hp CR48 Cimex machine.

The machine will do a very nice job on tile & grout without added weight using the 4805 brushes.

Also our new Tile & Grout cleaner that we're carrting is FIRE WATER. It can be used as low as 1 ounce per 5 gallons.

Go gettem!

Thanks for the quick reply, Rick. I looked at your products/chemicals but did not see Fire Water. Is it available now? And one ounce per 5 gallons? That's pretty hard for me to believe... but then so was your cimex/releasit system and look how sold I am on that!

The link is posted above.

It comes from a company that specializes in unique stone restoration products. The label actually says to mix it 1 to 2. But that is WAY TOO STRONG for normal cleaning. I spoke with the source for this product and they recommended using it at 1 ounce to 5 gallons. So that's what we've been telling people to use it at. It's super concentrated! And so far I've gotten some great feedback from guys using it at that dilution.

I would not bother with extra weight for tile cleaning. I use it for marble polishing, though.

The stiff brushes rock for tile cleaning. You don't need nothin' stronger or heavier, trust me.
