Tile cleaning question for Rick

July 19 2005 at 12:07 PM

Hey Rick,

Just got the new heavy duty tile & grout cleaner and was wondering what the proper procedure is for cleaning tile and grout...I have a pretty good size job to do. I have the Cimex with the stiff brushes and a wet vac with a front mount squeege...what do I need to know ?

Thanks

I've been told by the manufacturer of the Heavy Duty Tile & Grout Cleaner that it can be diluted as low as 1 ounce per 5 gallons for general cleaning purposes. It's Super Concentrated?

How to use it.
1. Dilute it and spread it on the floor. Allow about 5 minutes of dwell time.
2. Scrub with the Cimex and the 4805 grout brushes. Make slow overlapping passes. More passes where it's badly soiled.
3. Wet-Vac the solution.
4. Rinse the floor.
5. After the floor is dry put some fresh dry FiberPlus pads on the Cimex and dry buff to remove any haze.

Steps 3 and 4 can also be accommodated by using a Turbo/Spinner type tool.

That's it in a nutshell.
