| Well, I tried it for the first time on 3 carpets. I used bridgepoints/interlinks encapsulation product.
1st I vacuumed well, presprayed and used a white pad. 2nd I used a bonnet.
All were residential, small jobs, 1 room each.
1. Was my carpet in my home which I hwe every 6-8 months. White pad and bonnet. Looked pretty good.
2. Was a white carpet, 7 years old and never cleaned. Presprayed, whited padded and then a bonnet.
I did have to use my regulat prespray and hwe after to get good results.
3. 2 year old berber, lots of resolve. presprayed, whited padded and bonnet, did not get any results, had to clean 4 times with my regular prespray and hwe and post bonnet.
My question is: is there a big difference in encapsulation products?

My experience is- I tried 3 different brands on a single commercial job, side by side.
The Releasit Encapsulating Detergent did a visually superior cleaning, although I did not give any of them the microscope test, in order to have the same results I had to go over the other 2 areas with REL product.
This was using a Chemstractor and Fiber Plus Pads on all 3 areas.
That's enough for me.

can't comment on Bridgepoint's product cause i've never used it. but am wondering Ray :
1) when you post-bonneted, was the bonnet dry or wet?
2) if wet, was it wetted with plain water, OR the encap mixture?
if wetted with plain water then you removed the encapsulant from the tufts (or at least diluted it more), quite likely putting the encap in a state where it can't do it's job. just a thought. i've done this with my OP machine and wetted the cotton pads with plain water then wondered why it looked so bad. now i make sure to wet it with the encapsulant so it can do it's job.
thanx --- Derek.

I do not know, because I have never tried another encapsulation product. My thinking is why? I am happy with Releasit. It works great and Rick has proven that he is always looking to make it better if possible. So why look elsewhere.
