Encapping Upholstery..........again

August 23 2005 at 4:54 PM
Shorty

I have been having pretty good success using Releasit through my Von Schrader upholstery machine.

Does anyone else use the VS-2 in this manner, if so, what are your results.

This is the old VS, not the newer, flash murray one.

Cheers,

Shorty.

Shorty, what we do is spray lightly, scrub either by hand or with my machine. I have a bosch orbital sander from my joinery days with velcro underneath, slip on a 8" tan pad and away you go.

On heavily soiled areas, we'll go over them again with a small terry towel bonnet instead of the pad. It pulls a lot more gunk out.

One thing I'm also looking at is to see if I can fit a rug rat to my small Dyson to speed up the vaccing side of things. Don't look too good using the floor turbo head on the flay surfaces......

My clients and I are both happy with the results, especially on the macrosuedes.

Anyone making microfiber pads yet? Heard the microfiber towels worked great on upholstery.
