Called earlier, but ya must be out wondering. I need the knob for the on-off switch. Rented it out, and it came back missing it.

Call me 319-981-4821

Thanks,

Radio shack 274-403 works. After you cut the base off right below the set screw so it fits in the resessed hole. But its just a round knob, switch turns pretty hard w/o the little arm thats on the original.
2 for $1.79

Order me one of the right ones at the rip off price of $37.00 and I'll keep this one for a spare.

Kinda like owning a Hummmer aint it?

Glad to hear you found the old one Brian. Now that you found your old knob, make sure you tighten it down plenty so that it won't fall off again.

I really didn't want to sell you one at the rip off price either. The standard Cimex knob is fairly peculiar, as I learned by spending an afternoon searching Google in the US and the UK, and calling several knob manufacturer/dealers. I couldn't find an exact match anywhere (darn Brits). Perhaps that's why Cimex feels they can offer a replacement for $30.

Another idea for a replacement knob would be to go to an appliance repair shop and get a knob for an old air conditioner, microwave, stove, television, etc. You'll have to find a shop that still has some old school stuff, because as you know nothing uses knobs anymore. But I think you'd be able to find a suitable pointer knob for a couple of bucks.

I'm happy to hear that you're back in business
