Well I'll go ahead and get the ball rolling by announcing that we've just become a distributor for the Challenger OP machines. The 3/4 hp model is the one I really like. It's super smooth.
We've also just made arrangements to handle two other new machines as well. I'll let you know what they are in the next couple of days. Cool stuff

Cool Beans! I see they are still British Racing Green, smooth and fast. They will still "round" that piece of furniture and hit the baseboard straight away better than any OP on the market. We still have one of the originals in our garage. We like to think that this machine helped change our industry and make all OPs better. |

I have a ccs machine and cotton pads. It won't replace my TM. Every system has it's time and place. The cimex pad scrub with Releisit and post wet orbital pad. it is a hard combination to beat.
It is nice to have all the goodies

They rule!
Don't you sell them Rick? The Chemstractor & Cimex are a perfect compliment that will cure any situation.
Bt the way I sure do appreciate that filter & I'll hold onto this one. That was real kind of you!
My old used Challenger from Rambo just keeps going & going. Runs real good on Releasit too, nothing that duo can't clean.

glad you decided on Challenger Rick! love mine, coupled with the Cimex i get even better results.
i chose the Challenger because it was touted as the smoothest of the OP machines. that together with a reasonable price-tag versus other OP machines, and the fact that the manufacturer, mr. Lee Watson, is a true gent! never see him on the forums boasting about his machine and getting involved in the common "war of words" with other manu's. refreshing!
so glad i now have another forum to rap with other Challenger owners
thanx --- Derek.

Derek, I've heard all the same things that you have about the Challenger--- super smooth, a fair price, and great people. In fact, our Releasit distributor who has oversight over all of Canada has been selling Challenger machines for some time now and he reports that the machine and the Watson's have been excellent. I've been impressed with the Challenger machines ever since the VLM Minifest in Dalton GA a few years ago where I first got a chance to run one.
Gary, I am no longer handling the Chemstractor machines. The Chemstractor is a cool machine as you rightly observed. But at this point I can't see myself getting hooked up with Chemspec.

DLeroy,I guess I didn't really answer your question. As of right now,no,I won't get rid of my TM.Mainly because of water losses, stone and tile care,ect...
I use all of my tools, all of the time, every job is different. With that being said,I love the simplicity factor of being able to load up either my cimex or challenger (or even before when I used my rotory)along with a few other other items and the job at hand is done...quick,simple and clean. |

How are you Derek? Thanks for the kind words.......besides the fact
that we are busy,I try to stay away from the boards because everything
seems to turn into an argument...........lol. This board has ALWAYS been
professional,thanks to Rick.
We use all methods in our business.....besides the Butlers
and my "super" Bane, the Cimex is the ONLY machine we use on commercial.
On residential,we always post pad with the OP.....helps dry times,
as well as getting extra dirt. Just more "value added service" to give
the client.......going the extra step, which differentiates us from
our competition. OP also works better on Berbers, where HW sometimes
fails.......having a lot of tools in the arsenal allows us to do the best
job possible. Take care. |

Sprint? I did not hear anyone posting that they had one. |

I have used the Sprint.
A client of mine let me run it through its paces
before delivery. It worked great on carpet and ceramic tile.
the only thing I did not like was the spray did not go to the end of the
brushes and I would like a longer brush roll for better production.
I have a machine with longer brush rolls, it is somthing I would not due with out |
