| I know I have read here before how to rectify this, but I can't find it.
Cleaned a nylon carpet yesterday, got 'THE' phone call today that in one room there are three little circles.
How can this be rectified to their satisfaction once more.

Shorty. |

You'll need to reclean the affected area. Here's the cause of the problem and how to avoid it...
It's important that you dry the pads after you're done cleaning. When you're done with the machine allow the head to spin for about 20 seconds without releasing any more detergent. This will allow the solution up in the head of the machine to spin out. If you were to turn it off without doing this, you'll leave 3 wet spots on the carpet, which sounds like the situation that happened in your case Shorty.

Thanks Rick, I thought that was what I had to do, but just wanted confirmation.
Seems like the early bird.........................

seems a vac with good brush strip might remove it.?. i'd try that 1st, alot lighter to take in the house :p
or even a damp towel, get on yore knees and scrub a little.
just an idea --- Derek. |

Assuming it is only 3 small circles, I would not take the machine in first, try a trigger sprayer to just dampen the spots, and towel it up.
If that does not work, then go with the machine.

To avoid this problem when I finish I do as Rick said. I turn off the tap for the solution line, run the machine a little to dry the pads and the tilt the machine back and let go of the power trigger to stop the machine. Then I tilt the head up so its not resting on the pads while I pack up.

Since taking my new Cimex 24" "out on the road" to demo it for prospects, I have encountered one person - a hotel Executive Housekeeper - who objected to the pad patterns. On my next visit there I plan to bring
along one of my VS machines. A while back I decided to try an use it to encap without having to be concerned with the whole "too much foam/not enough foam" thing, so I took it to a place where they were able to shut off the vacuum part, while leaving the brush spinning. I wanted to reduce its noise level.
I expect this will satisfactorily - and quickly - wipe out the offending circles. |

it should Mark, definitely so if the carpet is still damp.
thanx --- Derek.
BTW, how's that 24" Monster?!?! using it often? ever use a 19" Cimex? |

No, Derek, I've never used the 19" - er. I like very much the HIGH PRODUCTIVITY I am able to ger with the 24"-size. Maybe I'll buy the 30"-er next. |
