Dentist office

Bill Grafton

Found myself a great dentist who also needs carpets cleaned. It's ironic that my bill for Cimexing closely equals my dental bill (LOL).
The carpet is definitely a glued down nylon, with a slight sculptured pattern. The hallway traffic area has been "flattened." Will the cimexing "lift" the squished pattern and, if so, will it remaing raised? I was told it's an expensive grade of carpet and the dentist is discouraged that it looks this bad. I don't want to promise anything more than cleaning unless one of you fellows tell me differently.
Thanks for your input.

Bill

Any raising of the pile will be temporary.

The fibres have lost their tension, for a better way of saying it.

Imagine a spring that has been stretched too far.

The spring loses it's tension, and, as such, will not return to a tight formation again.

Same with carpet fibres.

I believe that once a carpet fibre loses it's 'memory', any uplifting of the pile will only be temporary.

As soon as the carpet is stepped on and crushed, the fibres will not stand up again.

Maybe others will be able to explain my point better.

Or even hopefully, suggest something more permanent.

Cheers,

Shorty.

What fiber is the carpet? Different fibers will respond differently.
What type of pile?- loop, cut, combination?
It may need a good HWE with Encap-Punch with HIGH heat to get a good reset on a twist if it is a cut pile?

I think Shorty hit the head on the nail (ouch)

If the carpet has lost it's memory/twist, cleaning with any method will do very little to correct the condition.

We can only "clean" the carpet, we can't perform a "miracle"
