The Sprint is a sweet machine for smaller carpet cleaning needs. It's a terrific scrubber that's extremely easy and nimble to work with.
The Sprint operates very much like running a vacuum cleaner on the carpet. You simply run it back and forth in overlapping V patterns across the carpet, just like when you vacuum a carpet with an upright vacuum. As you're scrubbing the carpet you spray the detergent from the on-board tank.
The Sprint is one of the easiest machines I have ever operated. It would even be ideal for housekeeping staff to operate. We have two rooms of carpet and a carpeted hallway at our office. The women who work in our office will periodically run the Sprint after vacuuming the carpet. They can bang out all the carpet in our office with the Sprint in about 10-15 minutes.
Plus the Sprint can be used to clean and dry any hard surface flooring. It's good for tile, grout, textured floors, you name it. The machine has a special collection drum that retrieves the water from the floor and deposits it into a recovery compartment. You can pour a cup of water onto the floor and run the Sprint across it and the water will be recovered.
The Pile-Master is ideal for cleaning larger areas. Whereas the Sprint has 14" brushes, the Pile-Masters come in 15" and 20" sizes. The Pile-Master has a larger motor and can produce slightly more pile lifting ability than the Sprint.
The Pile-Master is constructed of stainless steel. It's a sturdily built machine that is imported from Austria. These machines have been available for encap cleaning in the USA for many years from another company. The machines have had a good track record for durability. We are working in conjunction with the Austrian manufacturer.
There's also a set of optional Collection/Hoppers that can be attached to the Pile-Master machines (I'll have photos on the website in a few days). The stainless steel Collection/Hoppers add an additional $295. This may seem a bit costly at first, but when you consider what they bring to the cleaning the added cost comes into perspective.
The Collection/Hoppers pick up dry soil and debris. Does it work? I wouldn't have thought so myself. But I've gotta say I'm amazed at how it just loads the crud into the dual hopper trays. It basically performs like a carpet sweeper on steroids.
If you've ever run a Pile Lifter, you know they don't retrieve much soil. They lift the pile like there's no tomorrow, but they're just as likely to spit the debris right back onto the carpet. The Pile-Master actually recovers any debris. While a Pile Lifter vacuum has just one brush, the Pile-Master has two. So with the Pile-Master you're actually getting a powerful pile scrubber and a functional pile lifter machine in the same package.
The Collection/Hopper is also a handy feature because cylindrical scrubbers can dig up a ton of crud from the backing of the carpet. Typically the carpets will have lots of little crud balls all over the place after you scrub with a cylindrical scrubber. The Pile-Master takes care of this condition.
So these are the primary differences between the two machines. I love both of them. That's why we're handling both. The Sprint is just as the name implies... it's a quick machine that can SPRINT over the carpet. And the Pile-Master, with it's pile lifting capabilities, is a PILE-MASTER as its name implies.
Each of these are nice machines and I'm sure you'd be happy with whichever unit fits your needs. And as normal, we're not gonna leave anybody hanging. If you decide you'd like to try one we can offer you a satisfaction guarantee so you can try out the machine for yourself - just call and we can explain how that works.
BTW if you'll be at Connections you'll have a chance to see all of our machines. Booth 100-102 will be a carpet cleaner's candy store
Hope to see ya there.
