Pads or Brush (confused)

I'm going to try out my Cimex at home today on standard Nylon residential carpet. (I HWE'd 2 weeks ago) to become familiar with the machine. I got the pads that come with the package and also got the carpet brushes. I thought I was supposed to use the brushes on this type of carpet and the pads on Olefin and commercial but in reading (way back) some of the posting on this board it appears I should use the pads on this type of carpet also. Is this correct? thks

The pads can be used on pretty much any carpet. They're perfect for all commercial carpets, and can be used on most residential carpets without any problem. The FiberPlus pads are the right choice for 99% of what you run across. You're gonna love 'em.

The soft brushes are only used on soft fiber. Therefore you may want to to use the soft brushes when you're working on more delicate goods such as plush Saxony, or frieze, or an oriental rug, or silk, etc. For instance, all the guys who use the Cimex machines in rug washing plants use the soft brushes.

Have fun with you're new machine! And if you have any questions along the way just holler.
