Couple of Questions

Seeing as how cleaning my living room and family room with the Cimex took max 20 mins I spent the rest of the time reading posting on this board trying to gain some tips, tricks, and knowledge on the machine. On one post the Question was "should I go forward turn the machine off back up turn it on and do a dry run." The answer given was yes. I was just going forward and leaving it running and backing up dry and going forward dry.
Is there a problem doing it this way?
Also I read several articials on spotting, urine, coffee, etc. I've built up quite a few spotting chems and have had great success with them in residential. Should I not use these on commercial carpet. In my last reseidential call I had a large soda spill stain I hit it with tannin before I started, let it dwell and hot water extraced and it was gone. If we got called back on a spot that reappeared couldn't we use other chems instead of repeating the releaseit technique?

Yes I leave mine on all the time. Maybe this was refurring to shutting the water valve and not shutting the machine off.?

I still use a few extra spotters too. But 90% of the time the Release-it works by its self, saves carrying a bunch of stuff with me. I've found if you use the other spotters first, than go over it with the Cimex and Release-it seems to work better.

Glad to hear that you're getting your new Cimex up and running. The best is yet to come. Just wait till you get out there and fire it up on some larger commercial jobs and watch that yellow monster go Cha-Ching!

1. You can push the Cimex forward and pull it backward (I usually do it this way in tight areas). Or you can push it in a straight line and then do a u-turn, walking in a forward direction the entire time (I usually do it this way in open areas). It's six on one, half dozen on the other.

2. In most cases (especially on a commercial carpet) you won't need anything more than Releasit and your Cimex for 99% of what you're likely to run across. For the occasional spot that requires extra help you can use your normal spotters sparingly (i.e. gum remover, rust remover, red remover, etc.). However you should keep in mind that bringing foreign chemistry into the equation can ADVERSELY affect crystallization. The crystallizing polymer is tuned very carefully with the other ingredients in our products to get it to crystallize properly. Therefore tossing other chems into the picture will invariably mess things up. So use spotters sparingly.

3. Stop. Do NOT apply tannin remover or anything else to a spill stain. Here's a simple set of instructions that really does WORK. Those spill stains that would normally return will be gone for good. Releasit will tear obliterate them. Follow these instructions to the letter and your spill stains will be gone for good... http://www.cmmonline.com/article.asp?IndexID=6635489 Using other techniques will not work as well. Why do I say that? Because I tried 'em all before I discovered this trick. I haven't found anything else that works as consistently time and time again.
