1st job with new Cimex+Upholstery help

September 13 2005 at 9:01 PM
rlord

Got a customer with 15000 sq ft of vey upscale event faciltiy, weddings, xmas parties, Corporation dinners, meetings. Anyway what a joy, in the morning I'm wrestling 100' of hose for $100 and in the afternoon I'm taking a stroll for $1600. Took a little getting used to as I'm used to a drimaster and walking slow well I had to get over that and also put down a little to much solution when I started but overall they loved it. The Cimex is to good to believe it a pleasure to operate. I will be out hustling commercial this week. Well now they want me to do their chairs and two sofa' I'm thinking of encapping them but not sure how to do it.
Do we just use Releasit and rub it in? If someone could give me info or detailed process I'd appreciate it. Thks

Nice going Rick

Rick G. sells drill drivers for encapping furniture
My first couple of jobs I just used encap punch and a
horse hair brush. Then I purchased the drill driver and
made my life easier.

Get the drill driver that Rick G. sells. We are going to use ours today. It is great for upholstery or hard to get to areas.

Encaping upholstery

Encaping upholstery is very easy. Mix the DS in a sprayer or bucket. Vacuum the #$% out of the piece being cleaned. Get a horse hair brush and wet it with DS and rub the peice with it til it foams. Then take an oscilating car buffer with a terry cloth cover and agitate the piece. Let it dry and it will be clean!

I was amazed at how clean it gets. had to work on how much solution I use though. I have a training couch at the house and after the first time I beat the cushion and there was a fine white dust cloud. Proof positive the crystalization works!

Great way to clean furniture. I still like to finish up with the Makita 927-C and 100% cotton (7") pads from Plus Mfg. Talk about fast. I guess that is padcapping.

What is the correct way to encap upholstery using the drill set up that Rick sells?

Vacuum furniture-spray on encap-brush it in w/drill brush, you may want to towel it off with a cotton bath towel by hand to finish the job, but not always necessary.
