Dan I remember you say how you had problems when using your XL for stairs and uding the hose.

I want to relay this to message to you
I started to have this problem so I pulled the vac motor out.
OUCH Man the foam rings around the vac motor were sucked around the vac opening
leaving little room for proper air flow.

I am thinking this may have happend to you also.
possably a bad batch or adheasive?
I just thought I better mention it since it happend to me and this particular machine is used mostly for Demos.

Thanks for the insight David, I will have to pull it and check it out, when I do I'll post up here to let you know the results.

I did recieve my vac booster from Cross-american last week and got to use it yesterday with the SD on stairs. WOW! Definately left the stairs much drier than before (I still wipe them down with a towel).

DO THIS AND YOU WILL DEFINATELY NOT REGRET IT
Take a 2 inch 90 degree pvc elbow and glue it (I used epoxy called plastic fusion)to the exhaust hose coming out the bottom, pointed out either side of the machine. This makes the machine bearable for extended periods of use.

what do you mean, bearable? does it cut the noise? or heat from the exhaust?

and are you referring to the SD or the PowerBooster.

why is a P.B. needed? glad i have one for the future if i ever get a SD

thanx --- Derek.

SD

Sorry about being so vague, the heat/humidity from the exhaust of the SD would have me soaked in sweat about an hour into cleaning with it. Now it's alot better.

A power booster is NOT needed, however if you want to do stairs with the SD and want faster drying times this is a nice item to have.

When I started up my biz 2 years ago, I wanted the best bang for my buck, I wanted high efficiency and maximum portability. I started with a mytee 1003c portable (been sitting around for a few months now...) and then got a rotary. Since then I've upgraded to include a Cimex, SD, and Mitey-one spotting machine all of these have increased my setup/teardown speed as well as cleaning efficiency. The power booster is just another helpful item to add to the arsenal. I've got my eye on an OP and that pilemaster next.

HI Dan
thanks for the Insight but there is an easier way.

The SD classic has a plastic shoe on the bottom of the machine directing the airflow away from the operator. Since I had a spare I installed it right away
when I seen the XL did not have one on it.

I believe I made the sugestion when I talked to Mike awhile ago but I will make it again.

great collection

I have a CA booster for several years not

WE have TM CA Recoil 3hp and the booster, rotarys clindrical brush machines and
several other goodies. All of them make life easier
