What are the advantages of doing this? Does it really make a big difference in cleaning? I am interested in giving this a try. Are the bonnets washable?

Routine Pad Capping is unnecessary. Sorry Dobs.

There may be a little benefit on a really trashed carpet. You'd be taking away some additional soil at the time of the cleaning. But it's certainly not needed on a regular basis. We've cleaned millions upon millions of of sq ft of carpet with the Cimex/Releasit, no need for post bonneting, and the carpets look awesome! All that square footage and we've used the bonnets less than 10 times.

If you're using an encapsulator that works as well as Releasit does, the post vacuuming cycle is more than adequate to recover the soil and keep the carpet looking great. So there's no need to add extra labor steps in most situations.

If you do have an occasional need for pulling some extra soil, the Cimex bonnets will work well. They're sturdy and can be washed and reused over and over again.

LOL rick.. glad to see you thought of me.

I have to agree...

I use it,, but on accts where they really need to have a good HWE,, but can't.. I have some acct with method restrictions.
So instead of Scrub N Run encap.. i use Releasit,, prevac really good first, prespray, scrub and use a cotton, thin type pad, to extract..
sometimes then I use the Cimex and go over it again..

This is where I use 'padcapping' methodology.

Like Rick says,, if encapsualtion is an option,, about all the time you can get away with the Cimex/post vac method.

The best way for you to know,, experiment.. and see what works for you. You will find your niche of when to scrub N run, encap via the cimex or rotary, and when you really need to take the time to HWE and then get it on a maintenance program.

Best of luck.

What Rick said. I hate to use two methods to clean one carpet.

But two methods ALWAYS out clean any one method.. no matter what methods we are referring to.

Always. it all depends on your thirst for quality and their budget. LOL
