Miracles

Ralph and Shorty's posts below about eliminating red stains and resurrecting a grease saturated wool carpet makes me think about what we're called upon to perform as carpet cleaners. On occasion a customer may EXPECT us to accomplish something that simply is not possible. Sure, we can remove soil from the surface of the fiber and perform some amazing spot removal stunts. However there are limitations too.

Bona fide miracles past from the earth nearly 2,000 years ago. Therefore I think it's a bit out of our league to be expected to pick up and perform a bona fide miracle today. OK, we can come close to a miracle when we bring a tired old carpet back to nearly new condition. But expecting a true miracle is a bit out of our league Therefore I think it makes sense to educate the customer about what they should reasonably expect, even under-promising at times. And then pull out all the stops and knock their socks off with great service. Great service is what we can provide. Performing a miracle is another story altogether.

I don't know Rick, every time I get off the sofa my wife says it's a miracle.

You just got to have faith.

Have a good day.

Enjoying a nice dinner with Rick and Nancy is a blessing. Getting Rick to pick up the check would be a miracle.

Just kidding, Rick.
