Learning day after day.

I wrote last week about an office carpet I did that looked good after I cleaned it but the next day it did not look as good as it was the previous night.
When I did it last week it was really my first time using the Cimex in this office, and when I was filling the tank I spilled some DS on the carpet. I did what I read, make several dry passes. Well that area dried and left a round water mark.

So last night I went back and cleaned it again (the whole office, one of my janitorial accounts) and this time I hit that water mark with no solution just a rather dry pass a few times, today I went to check it and it was gone.

But, last night when I filled the tank I did not spill any solution on the carpet, what I did was, when I started the Cimex I pressed the trigger on the solution just to see if it, or how it comes through the pads and I got to much solution to come out in one spot.
So I tried to make a lot of dry passes and today there was another water mark, I mixed up 5oz. DS, to 32oz. of water, sprayed the spot used a pad in hand and lightly scrubbed it, it was gone, I hope.

What I learned this week compared to last week, I think I was pressing the trigger to much on my first pass and walking to slow this week I walked about the same speed using Fiber Plus Pads. But, I did not press the trigger as much or hard and feathered it alot. This is why I believe that the carpet came out better, I will wait and see in a couple of days.

Question for Rick, last night when I pressed the trigger to much to see how the solution came out and I got that water mark, I saw that I did that and went back an hour later with several paper towels to see if I could get some of that water blotted up, when I pressed down with the paper towels they came up dirty brown I was expecting it to be just clear from the solution. Can you tell me what was on the towels?

Thanks

new-to-Cimex users well often over-apply the cleaning solution, i did...common mistake. it will take you awhile to get the hang of it and learn the right amount to put down. more is def not better with Encap.

as to the brown stuff on the towel, that is how it should be. during the encapsulation process, it dries around the soil, crystalizes and is be removed upon the following vaccuming(s). when it is still wet, it hasn't encapsulated the soil yet.

thanx --- Derek.
