| I know this has been tossed around and I have done a search but doesn't really answer my question. My HWE is broken and I don't know when it's going to be available,so that's out. What I have is the Cimex 19", grey pads, beige pads,
green stripped bonnets, releasit, encap punch and a small Easy Steamer from Dust Devil (pulled it out of the basement, it has a tank and a brush and vac).
I have a demo to do at a Pretty Greasy resturant Wed morn. Should I apply the prespray with the dirt Devil and run over it then Cimex with releasit and grey pads or Pre Spray, pad it with punch, then hit it with releasit and grey pads.
Or just pre spray with punch and hit with releasit at 6 oz per gal and use grey pads. I did a small greasy resturant before and my pads got a hard coat of black grease on them I couldn't even flip them as they wouldn't stick on that side. This is commercial glue down and he has had it cleaned several times but it comes right back obviously it hasn't been encapped yet!! Any suggestions appreciated!! |

Rick,I apologize for not responding to a prior post.(We have been moving our office out of the house and into its own space and had the normal problems with disconnecting and reconnecting internet service...nothing is never as painless as they say.)Now while I have only cleaned a few restuarants one particular sounds like your situation.** Heavily soiled traffic lanes coming and going fro the kitchen.** Even though I was totally prepared to HWE I figured let me at least see what I can do prior to HWE.I first presprayed with PUNCH--2nd.half of the job I presprayed with another companies'(from Tenn.) product that is similiar to punch because I ran out. After prespray,I proceeded with normal Cimex/Releaseit DS. cleaning with the exception of a few extra scrub passes in the darkest areas. The job came out great! The PUNCH/Cimex/DS/ did perform as prescribed!
Yes,you can use your green stripe bonnets for "pre-agitation" but why when you have the best unit available already?I say do your deme with just your Cimex/Releaseit and just mix up a spray bottle of Punch because your full clean will always come out better...why?...Let the gatekeeper know that this is just that,a demo.
BTW,if you need to borrow a rotory for a seperate pre-agitate after all,let me know. Also,if you feel that nothing but nothing will take care of this particular carpet but HWE/Cimex combo, contact me maybe we can work something out.

| My Concern | November 20 2005, 2:08 PM |
My concern is that when I did another resturant my pads (brand new) got a HARD coat of grease on them and I'm sure they weren't doing much from then on. However I don't think I presprayed as the two rooms that were well lighted didn't need it but the hall between them wasn't lighted and I couldn't see the grease but that was pretty dirty and that's where I picked up most of the grease.. So you think if I prespray good with the punch I'll be okay just hitting it with releasit and grey pads? Thanks!! |

Well...I never used the grey pads just the regular fiber plus pads so I can't comment on the grey's performance. The prespray-ing should give you the extra "oopmh" you're looking for.Hot Punch allows the breaking up/down of compacted soiling.Trying to see how much this will have an effect on this particular carpet,as you know,is the real reason we test before the real cleaning takes place.
