i have never done this, not even once. partly it is because, on the jobs i've been on that could've used it, i never thought of it. the other reason is it's nearly as fast to run over the carpet allowing the solution to be showerfed from the Cimex.

so since i've never pre-sprayed, am i really missing out on better results?

Pre-spraying a really nasty carpet can give the carpet some added dwell time before you begin scrubbing. It makes the cleaning more effective since you're able to scrub a bit faster and use a little less juice.

I was thinking the same thing when Rick told me to prespray before we ran over the italian restaurant with the Cimex. I tried to do it but my sprayer did not work. Maybe next time.

I did it last week. I had a huge condo complex and the 1st floor was trashed. I presprayed and then used encap ds and the carpet came out great. The only thing that it would not clean up was the burn marks in the carpet from people moving there furniture in. Why do they drag it across the carpet? I informed the owner before I cleaned that this was not dirt. It was actually burned. He was very happy with the job.

I pre-sprayed with Encap punch, then I used Ds to clean with. It did a real nice job.

I never lived in N.Y.,but i had an Uncle Paul that lived on Long Island that was pretty well known (Big Pauly),he even left some of his blood on a sidewalk there.

when I get to a bad one, I run over it lightly with the cimex feeding DS, wait a while, then start in as usuall. seems almost as fast as spraying, and your gaining some agitation.
