Old Hippies

Old Hippies paved the way for individuality: Everybody looked alike and acted alike before Hippies came along. I know, I lived thru it, as many of you did.+++ How come the healthier food is more expensive? +++ I pledge allegiance to the flag... one nation under surveilance. +++ One of the QT that I buy gas at is owned by a Iraq-ie, I noticed his finger was blue so I asked him if he had just voted, he said; no, the Slurpee machine was broken.

"Everybody looked alike and acted alike before Hippies came along"
Yep, the hippies came along - and before long they all "looked alike and acted alike" too.
(Not much hope for positive change there)

Wise King Solomon once said:
"All this I have seen, and there was an applying of my heart to every work that has been done under the sun,
during the time that man has dominated man to his injury."

...Isn't it remarkable; all these years later and we still see a similar condition in our society today?

Another old hippie

Your kidding. Right? Did I miss something. The wholesale slaughter of 50,000,000 plus or minus of this generation so that the hippies could be "free to be me", is not a good thing. Almost total breakdown of the educational system in the name of self-esteeem is more bitter fruit of the me-generation. A degenerate moral climate such has has not been seen since ancient Rome is another result of doing our own thing. Just a few personal observations about the least-good generation. We got what we wanted, but we missed what we needed. Gotta run. I think I'll go trim my long grey ponytail. Chow.

Hey Rick,
That's why Solomon also said "everything is vanityand a striving afer wind".

Nothing's changed except for the worst.
