Encapping in a machine shops office

Pete Hagar

Good day and Happy New year all,

I just came from a demo in an office of a machine shop. I encapped it with my cimex making 4 to 5 slow passes over it,then ran a bonnett over it with a swing machine. They were standing there watching me so I really scrubbed it hard. It came out only ok. They were happier than I was. I have read that encapping has trouble with greasy dirt are there any hints so I can improve the finish product?

If I do it on a monthly or quarterly basis would they see an improvement each time I do it? As opposed to letting it get really bad then trying to ressurect it.

Alot of grease is being walked into the office area.

Thanks,
Pete

The only way I've got oil stains out with encap is use ALOT of pads. On a 3' spot I usually use 3 sides. The oil has to go somewhere. On a whole floor, it would take a bunch
It does wash out of the pads in the laundromat

You may have to extract the first time, then pad cap after.
