weights

anybody running weights on cimex on carpet? I get places thats bad that I pick up on back of it to give it downpressure to get spots out. thought about a set of weights to just leave on it all the time.

I don't use weights but I have a Highend Event place (weddings, christmas parties, etc) that I clean that gets a lot of spots, etc. I went to the Grey pads and they are great you go through them quicker but they really cut down on my time to clean by a third. It was kind of funny cause I would have my spray bottle (50/50 releasit)and I go over it dry once and be moving around the Cimex to hit a couple more times and spray it but the spot would be gone.

I would not recommend adding weight for carpet cleaning (for floor care it's fine). If you add weight for carpet cleaning you'll be putting too much strain on the motor, belt and bearings. I agree with Rick Lord, just go with the FiberPlus Max - they'll add enough extra agitation to get the job done for you.
