Why $9.95 a room fails in the long run..

There were two guys from Alabma who had little money and an old pick-up truck. They heard they could buy watermelons in Florida for $3.00 each and they decided they could sell them for $30.00/dozen. So they went to Florida, loaded the truck with watermelons and headed toward Alabama, selling off the watermelons for that #30.00/dozen. They did a great business and sold out of watermelons before they even got half way back to Alabama. But, while sitting on the side of the road, counting their mony, they noticed they were a little short of amount they had started with. They wondered what the problem was since they had done a brisk business and it finally dawned on them-- what they needed was a bigger truck.

So they got a bigger truck and bought more mellons like before. But this time they decided to sell the mellons with a knife to cut it open and eat it right there. While eating the people need napkins to wipe their mouthes. So they also would sell the a napkin or 2 or 3. Some people even wanted a drink with their mellon, so being from Alabama they started selleing Cokes with it too. Some people couldn't eat it all right there so they needed a togo bag now. yep theysold them 2.
Now the Alabame boys were rich and would do this inbetween fishing in their new bass boat, and hunting on their lage property they bought with the profit

Greg, I like the way you think. The key is the last four words of your post, and the reason for my original post.

Just think about it.Where does MacDs make their money, want fries with that, go large for .25 more.

Would you like a cd played, how about a/c, electric windows and locks, cruise control.

Would you like ink with your printer?

Free diabetes test kit! You think the test strips are free?

People get what they pay for. Better cleanings cost more. Why? It comes with fries and a large drink. You get the underbody rust coat, all included.

The low ball hacks sell the people what they want, cheap!

The low ball guy in my town does almost everything right, he builds relationships, he sells the fries and .25 more for the large drink.

Just like the low priced cars you buy, not going to last long, not as pretty, but some people can afford it.

BMW doesn't sell as many cars as ford, differant market.

If your building a high priced cleaning business, it takes time. Some are lucky and build it fast, some aren't.

Great thread!

BTW - I lose 10% on every sale,
but I make up for it in volume.
