| I am thinking of sending some info to a few of our Hotels in the area.
Say for an example a Hampton Inn, what is the price I should be asking for in a room size for something like a Hampton (standard size room with a king bed)?
I know they pay low but if it gets me started and I can do a bunch of rooms per night its still money$$$. |

Joe,
I do a couple of condo complexes and I charge $40 per room
In a hotel with just a kingsize room I would charge 35 per
room Cimexed.

Well it really depends on where you are located I just had a bid out on an Extended stay and I bid $.09 per sg ft and $10 rm (not much carpet in the room). They told me I was high on the rooms my competition was $8 and they went with the other guy. The hallways were where the money was but you figure what you need to make and than you won't be upset if you lose it. If I go in high and lose than I kick myself but if I price it honestly and give the customer a good price and make a good profit than I move on with more knowledge. |

Is that $10.00 per room flat fee PLUS .09 per SF or did the $10.00 cover the .09 per SF?
And to the main post last time I saw hotels discussed the majority were running between $8-$12 per room so if you get a good one (willing to pay for quality) hang on to them for dear life.
I talked to the guy that used to work at a decent sized motel here that did the books he told me that the owner NEVER cleaned the carpet, just replaced it when it was dirty. Middle of the road hotel too, not Schlempy's 3 Hour Shack.
Good luck,

I was at $10 per room and $.09 per sq ft for the lobby and hallways (10200 sq ft) no additional sq ft charge for the rooms. They were going to be vacuumed and it was three floors. |

I'm in Ga and trying to build my commercial Biz . Most of my accounts are well over 10000 sq ft and I get avg $.12. I have very little overhead and this is very profitable for me.B
However I had heard about Hotels not paying well and after looking at the job the lobby and halls were only very lightly soiled it was definately a 2500-3000 sq ft an hr job so very good money could be made at $.09.
But don't forget I LOST it at $.09 |

I just recently did a 80 room 4 story hotel in my town. They get everything cleaned twice a year. I priced everything at $.09 a sqft. I just took the average of open space in all room types and figured it close to 100sqft. So I guess you could say I charged $9 per room and .09 per sqft in the halls. Anyway after paying 2 friends $100 each to help me and subtracting the cost of 2 and a half gallons of DS I was still able to make close to $80 per hour. I used the cimex/releasit combo and the manager was thrilled. I will now be doing them every six months and possibly more as the general manager happened to be there and wants me to quote some more. They told me they liked that I used a quite process and did not have to hang hoses out of their 4 story windows like the last guys. lol. |
