| Hi all,
Commerical cleaning I can do my ? is on resi work.
When using the challenger or the pilemaster how much juice (encap punch) do I spray down. Do I soak the carpet or just dampen it?
I understand the cut pile is pron to tip bloom by doing this method of cleaning is that true?
Thanks |

We use a Multi-Sprayer (electric) and spray lightly over all, a little heavier on spots. Use the correct brush Grey on cut pile, blue on olefin berber, etc. We have been using this method on residential for almost two years on all type of fibers and have not had the first case of "Tip Blooming" |

Be careful with freizes, especially the new soft ones when OP cleaning. Synthetic pads are safer. Synthetic pads under a standard floor machine is what I would use if I wanted to pad one. |

exactly what David said. Rick sells the synthetic ThinOnes here on his site. these are the ONLY pads i use on Frieze's (new "shag" looking carpet).
i recently did a berber and have ALWAYS had success with my Cimex. one traffic lane where the dog lays & walks would not budge. brought in the Challenger and still wasn't budging. granted, it could be the cleaning solutions i was using...i didn't use anything too powerful cause i didn't have many options on hand unfortunately.
does the Pilemaster excel on Berber? or would i get the same results out of it that i get with my Cimex or Challenger?
thanx --- Derek.
BTW, OP'ed using my Releasit Punch for the 1st time yesterday, came out swell. can't wait to try it on other jobs to really test it out!

Pilemaster works great on olefin berber w/ the right chems and a little added weight. Think about the actual mechanical action of the two machines (Cimex and Pilemaster) horizontal vs. verticle. The Pilemaster digs more, hence a little better at getting the encap juice deeper into the carpet. Nothing beats the Cimex on CGD. I use both machines, just depends on the degree of soil. I prefer the Pilemaster on all the new shags, awesome look when finished because of the pile-lifting ability and no need to groom when finished. |
