I'm getting ready to encap a berber olefin first I'm going to use the fiber plus pads but want to follow up with a post padding. I've never post padded do you wet the pads or use them dry (should be a little damp from the fiber pad cleaning)?
Any other tips on post padding with the Cimex is appreciated.

Hi Rick,If your're using your 'Mex to pad I think you'll only have synthetic bonnets(Rick sells them or you can get them elsewhere)at your disposal. If it was me,I'd use the little green stripers first, then go with the fiberplus pads.Another thought would be;take some old cotton(thin)pads and cut to fit for more absorbtion.

Just apply the 8" Tuway Durapad bonnets to the Cimex and run them dry over the damp carpet and they'll absorb some of the dirt. It puts a nice finish on the really soiled ones.

I once took a full day class on Berber, taught by Bob Wittkamp. I can tell you what we learned about cleaning Berber in 3 words, dry, dry, dry. Berber, especially Olefin, likes to be dried quickly. So here's my suggestion for cleaning an Olefin Berber - get it DRY! Mix the detergent at 6 ounces instead of 4 ounces. Use a MINIMUM amount of solution on the carpet. Get fans going to reduce drying time. And post-bonnet. Anything you can do to accelerate drying will help you.
