| I am thinking of using some fiberplus pads on a client's van tomorrow. I was thinking of adapting some to the OP buffing machine I have and combining some Releasit on a carpet that is dire need of cleaning. Has anyone ever tried this combination or are these pads strictly for rotary motion? Is it ok to cut these pads to a different diameter or will they just fall apart during use? thanks for any help |

I have frequently cut these pads down to fit a 6" automotive orbital buffer.
They work fine. Or, you could take one of those green-stripe hand mits, cut it into 2 sides, and use these. Since their synthetic fibers don't absorb much, they scrub your encapsulent in very well. Or, use Releasit Encap Punch with smaller sized cotton pads (available from Argo) and padcap the carpet. I'm referring here to stair tread carpet, not vehicle carpet, but they should come out the same. |

I did cut the pads down and they worked great. It is my first time using these pads and I was quite surprised at how much loose dirt they absorbed. Could you tell me how to get to Argo? I used my Porter-Cable orbital on two different cars and it owrked great. I tried these work terry cloth towels and I was impressed at how much dirt they absorbed. Thanks for your imput. God bless you |

Argo's web site is www.argoco.com. But you can't order directly from their website. Just get the phone number there and call them. I've been buying these pads in a 9" diameter, but with a 6" tool, 8" might be a little better fit. They will also make them with elastic sewn in around the perimeter. I had them send me one of these, just to try out, and I found it too difficult to get on & off my orbiter tool. So I just buy the regular flat ones. I buy the 2-ply pads. I think they will also make them for you in single-ply.
I use them immersed in water, then squeezed semi-damp. |

Also, you can go to www.eazypower.com (it is spelled correctly) and see an attachment that turns your drill into a right angle drill. Home Depot sells it with a keyless chuck for about $60.00. Combine that with Rick's attachment and you've got a nice, comfortable setup. |

Greg,
Thanks for sharing that. I hope our readers can benefit from that. That's a sweet deal on an angle grinder!
