| Back on the 8th of this month there was a thread titled "Residential Encap" that I participated in regarding padcapping and I posted some before and after pictures of a very soiled residential carpet that I padcapped. I also mentioned that I have other tools in my arsenal to use when required. Well, I cleaned a greasy Mexican restaurant last night and used Rick's Punch along with HWE. As usual Ricks products did not let me down. I had quite an audience including the owner and employees witnessing in amazement the resurrection of their carpet. This was the first time cleaning this business. I now will be cleaning this restaurant along with the other restaurant he owns once a month. I will be cleaning the other on Monday night. That one too should be good for pictures.
Thanks for your hard work developing the Releasit line Rick. My business is much more versatile now.

Did you use it as a prespray or ranned it through the machine...or both??? |

Both. Used Punch as a pre-spray mixed strong (24oz. per gallon) in a two gallon pump up sprayer and through the machine mixed as directed on the bottle for HWE. |

nice pics there i think you should probably run over that with a cotton bonnet via op and it would look a little more even and a shade brighter not that it doesnt look good allready nice job there. is that a truckmount you are using? and how hot is that water? |

Not that you didn't do a good job, it's just that everyone else here would have done better LOL. |

Nice cleaning job! With all of the comments that followed I was reminded of a joke that I heard years gone by that referenced guitar players egos, but I'll just insert the words "carpet cleaner" where guitar player(s) would've gone. How many carpet cleaners does it take to change a light bulb?..............................................................6,one to change the light bulb and five to say they could do it better!

Thanks all!
With much discussion about Encap-Punch lately, I really just wanted to show what it can do and, well, OK I'm always proud of what I do LOL.
Anthony, The pictures don't do the job justice. It was actually quite even looking and bright however you are correct, a cotton bonnet would have extracted a little more grease and put a nice finishing touch on the job. Don't have a truckmount. I use an Eclipse portable from CleanCraft Products. Don't know the water temp (no temp. gauge). The portable has dual heaters, 3-2 stage vac motors and I replaced it's 150 psi pump to an adjustable pump that I was running at its max. 300 PSI.
Greg, I agree. Although I don't have a Cimex it would have cleaned quicker if I would have pre-scrubbed with my low speed rotary. We are cleaning his other restaurant Monday night and it is much larger and just as soiled (or worse) so I plan on having my helper pre-scrub ahead of me.

I got impressive results at a big Boston restaurant/sports bar (if you know Boston, it's The Stockyard, midway between BU and BC) one night last week.
Did the first pass with a 50/50 mix of Encap DS and Encap Punch, applied and scrubbed in with the Cimex. Did the second pass with a 20" Orbitec (orbital)
equipped with damp terrycloth pads. Got under booths and onto landings with a Challenger with cotton pads. Owner said he was "blown away" with the results, which "made the colors POP". (Sorry, no pics) |

Thanks Derek.
The job would have gone quicker had I pre-scrubbed however the Encap-Punch did its thing. The Eclipse has worked well for me. It’s over 5 years old with 4 years hard use and 1 year of occasional use (thanks to encap) and still ticking. I have heard good things about the Recoil. |

i too am looking for a good portable prefferably atleast 2 3 stages and 300 psi with heat. or would you guys think that the recoil with 2 3 stages plus that vac booster and 350 psi and maybe putting an imersion heater in the tank be a good choice? but i think the heated water might fry the pump |

WE run a Recoil HP3 when needed. I also have the vac booster with it.
I can run over 200 feet of hose with out a problem and still get fast dry times.
If you are looking to get more heat then a tap will provide I recomend you get propane set up, and hook it up after the pump. This will ensure you will not fry the pump. A Little Giant #3 or #4 will give you plenty of heat at the flow rate of the Recoil, heck gives a Steamin Demon great heat also.
PS get a cart you will be glad you did. I like the cart that looks like a hand truck, for me it is easyer to move about

How would you hook it up to a Steamin-Demon? Have you dont it, or seen it done?
Thanks |

I have done it
Usually I put the propane just out side the door.
Hook the water source to the propane then run the water line from the propane to the Demon. Running the Demon this way I naturally use longer water hose then dump. I also use 3/8 pressure lines from the propane to the first set of 50 foot hoses I will need |
