Depends on how healthy my employee is.

The older ones, doesn't matter how hard you hit with the whip, they can't go any faster. I'm lucky to live in a college town. The young ones respond well to this kind of motivation. We're thinking of going to caining.

In an 8 hour period? Well the average rate is 2,500 sq ft. So 8 hours of run time should produce approximately 20,000 sq ft.

However there are some extenuating factors.
1. Lunch
2. Cell phone calls
3, Bathroom breaks
4. Getting water
5. Moving stuff
6. Etc.

If you can limit the extenuating factors, you can accomplish terrific production. What we find works best for HIGH production is to have a couple of machines running and also have an extra helper to keep everyone moving. The extra person brings buckets of detergent, bottles of drinking water, helps move the cord, moves small items from the cleaning path, etc. In that way carpet really moves under the machines!

And if that doesn't work for ya, you can always revert to Greg's whipping and caining idea

Who wants to be a millionaire?

June 12 2006, 10:54 AM

Cleaning at 20,000 sq ft per 8-hour day.

And cleaning at the conservative rate of just 10 cents per sq ft.

How many 8-hour days would it take for you to earn a million dollars???

A. 2,050 8-hour days
B. 1,200 8-hour days
C. 800 8-hour days
D. 500 8-hour days

Lunch WOW Rick you are more genrous then I

I let everyone eat when the job is done.
Most of the time I work alone or with a few of my kids

What I have found to work well on larger jobs is to make up 5 to 10 five gallon
containers of Encap Juice. I put them several areas in the building that I feel I should be needed more stuff.

I move stuff out of the cleaning path when I an vacuuming or when I do the walk around before I start off.

Bathroom breaks If you are pushing hard the workers hard enough they should not have enough extra liquid to go any how. (just joking)

Now I just have to figure out how to be booked for 8 to 10 hours for the next 500 days.

Thanks Rick my wife seen that
