Does anyone here use Skype ???

For those that are not aware, Skype is a free internet telephone system.

All you need is a USB phone, download Skype, (free program), then, with your pc turned on, simply locate someone else you know that has Skype connected.

You can talk on the internet for as long as you like, to whatever country or state you like, for free.

I am logged in as Shorty Glanville.

This is a good way to keep in touch with each other and save on expensive long distance telephone calls.

Say Rick had Skype, and you also had Skype and lived in Elephant Point, Alaska, you would be able to phone Rick free of any charges.

Wouldn't that be something to Skype about??

Thanks Shorty. I haven't tried Skype yet. We use Vonage at our home. Tried it briefly at out office too, and found it was too wimpy for heavy business use. But it's perfect for our home usage. For just $26 a month (including the taxes) we get unlimited local and long distance, voice-mail, call forwarding, caller ID, etc etc etc. Calls to Europe are free, and even a call to Sydney Australia is just .05 per minute. Vonage is the best deal I've found. Great service. Beats Verizon by a mile.
