Can you or should you boost the encapping detergent with an oxy booster like boost all from Bridgepoint?.

Also I noticed encap punch is a prespray. I am guessing  if need be or residential work it would be a good idea to use that along with yout regular encapping???

Yeah I know stupid questions but easier to ask a stupid question than it is replace a carpet.

No Steve. Not a stupid question.

Changing the pH of Releasit can sometimes (in limited applications) be effective. However you run the risk of having the additive mess up the crystallizing property of Releasit. And in all honesty, Releasit cleans well enough on its own. You really shouldn't need to add a booster.

Encap-Punch is a 3-in-one product. It's encapsulating pre-spray, an encapsulating HWE detergent, and an encapsulating bonnet/pad cleaner. Perfect for HWE with truckmount or portable. And the residue you leave behind is not going to attract soil, and will continue to be extracted through the post-vacuum process. As a pre-spray Encap-Punch is very effective. So if you need some additional soil emulsification, then pre-spraying with Encap-Punch is the way to go. It scored very well in the CRI's tests and has won their seal of approval.

Hope that clarifies things a bit.

Have a nice Sunday

The only time we have needed to boost Releasit is on a stinky rug from time to time. You can boost Releasit with about 20 drops of Tea tree oil. It seems to help on stubborn odors.

I boost DS all the time with excellent results. I restore the carpets in a luxury hotel in Tampa when thier in-house staff has done all they can to destroy the carpet. No problems just bright clean colors.

"I boost DS all the time with excellent results"

What is DS and are you boosting with an Oxy booster or Ammonia?

Thanks

Steve

Steve,

"DS" stands for Releasit Encap-Clean DS
The "DS stands for Double Strength.

We have regular strength Encap-Clean which mixes at 8oz per gallon.
And we have double strength Encap-Clean DS which mixes at 4oz per gallon.
Same chemical, just twice as much raw ingredient in the double strength.
So the double strength is more economical to work with.

Tom can answer what he's been boosting the detergent with.
